Code Camp: JavaScript

November 28, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

JavaScript’s popularity as a scripting language has skyrocketed in recent years, thanks to the creation of Node.js and a vast ecosystem of front- and back-end tools. For those learning it, Free Code Camp is an incredible resource for figuring out “What should I learn now?” and not getting lost among libraries that fade to obscurity almost as quickly as they appeared.

Bring your preferred coding computer, any progress you’ve made, and any questions racing through your head. This will be a great regular opportunity to ask questions, get feedback on projects, request code reviews and pair programming opportunities, help others get unstuck, and vent about the NaN reasons JavaScript drives us crazy.

Not following Free Code Camp? No worries, you’re more than welcome if you’re interested in JavaScript. Be sure to bring what you need for your current project (or be open to project suggestions).

New? Still getting the hang of HTML and CSS or unsure where to start? You’re absolutely welcome, too. Feel free to set up a free account on https://freecodecamp.com/ (or do so at the event), and get ready to learn in a supportive environment.

Front-end, back-end, and full-stack learning goals are all welcome.

We will be in Room A.
